Cardward is operated by Ashmont Pinnacle Advisory FZ-LLC, licence no. 47036759 and registration no. 0000004095797, issued by the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority, United Arab Emirates. This page explains what we do with the information you give us. It is written in plain language on purpose.
The short version
You give us the details you want printed on your business card, and we publish them on your card. We do not sell them, we do not share them with advertisers, and we do not build a profile of you. There is no account and no password.
What we hold
- The details you type into the card: your name, title, company, telephone number, email address, website and any links you add.
- The web address you choose for your card.
- The email address you buy with, so that we can send you the edit link, the receipt and a reminder before your card expires.
We do not ask for anything else, and you do not have to give us anything that is not going on the card.
What is public
Your card is a public web page. Everything you put on it can be seen by anyone who has the address or scans the code. That is the point of a business card, but it is worth saying plainly: do not put anything on your card that you would not print on paper and hand to a stranger.
Payment
Payments are handled by our payment provider. Your card number reaches them and never reaches us. We receive confirmation that the payment succeeded, the amount, and the email address used.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the site and your card, and handles our email forwarding.
- Our payment provider processes payments and holds the payment record.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces used on the site.
Nobody else receives your details, and none of these companies is permitted to use them for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Your card stays online while it is paid for. If you do not renew, the card stops opening and we keep the details for a short period afterwards so that you can restore it without building it again. After that we delete them.
Cookies
Cardward does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and there is nothing to consent to. The site works without knowing who you are.
What you can ask for
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and take your card down. Write to privacy@cardward.app and we will deal with it. Deleting your details means your card comes down, because the details are the card.
Children
Cardward is a product for working adults and is not intended for children.
Changes
If we change this page we will change the date at the top. If a change is significant and you hold a live card, we will email you.
